Dr. Paul Greig, Distinguished Toronto Surgeon and HPB Fellowship Co-Director, to give ‘Living Legend’ Lecture at the IHPBA World Congress this Friday

The World Congress Living Legend Lecture series recognizes and features some of the most important and impactful surgeons in the field of HPB surgery.  This year, Dr. Paul Greig will speak to an international audience of HPB surgeons on “The Evolution of Liver Transplantation”.

Dr. Greig is Professor of Surgery at the University of Toronto where his academic and clinical focus is in Transplantation and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Surgical Oncology. He is a Past President of the Canadian Society of Transplantation, former Chair of the Canadian Organ Replacement Register, and former Director of the Multiple Organ & Retrieval Programme of Toronto. He served as the Chair of the Perfusable Organs Subcommittee of the Canadian Standards for Cells Tissues and Organs for Transplantation Committee.

Among many other awards and distinctions throughout his career, Dr. Greig is the recent recipient of the AHPBA Distinguished Service Award (2012) and the ASTS Francis Moore Excellence in Mentorship Award (2014).
